“I had a wonderful 2 week stay in Barcelona House.  

The apartment is spacious and very tastefully furnished without being cluttered.  Photographs on the website very accurately depict the furnishings and ambiance. Completely new bathroom and kitchen.  Kitchen is very well equipped and has a west facing window with a very nice view.

Location of the apartment (right next to Columbus Circle) is the BEST.  
– 6 different subways lines and numerous buses within 2 blocks
– Time Warner Center right next door and Lincoln Center in a few blocks
– Whole Foods is next door within Time Warner Center. Duane Reade (drugstore) just next door
– Numerous restaurants, shops in Columbus Circle area
Really enjoyed the other amenities of the apartment: high speed internet via wifi, numerous cable channels, telephone line with free calls throughout USA.

The icing on the cake is the hospitality of Sylvie, the owner. Sylvie was completely helpful and gracious throughout, from initial contact and throughout our stay. Sylvie works hard to provide visitors with a quality experience during their stay in NYC and it shows in the quality, style and maintenance of the apartment itself.

I intend to return to this apartment or one of Sylvie's other apartments on next visit to NYC.”

Happy New Year to You!  Thank you for the lovely, thoughtful gift of a red pepper plant.  It was appreciated and brought a touch of the holiday into the apt.
 
When we planned our annual trip to New York, Norma said, "I do not want to stay in a dump!"  We stayed in a lovely, large apartment with all the comforts of home.
 
Thank you for the use of your apartment.  The location is perfect as you are surrounded by culture, Lincoln Center, MOMA, the Theater District, Carnegie Hall, Opera, Music and Jazz.  The transportation is a few steps from your door, the bus, the subway as well as taxi.  You can go from the apartment to uptown and downtown easily.  The staff at the building was respectful and helpful.  On our departure the doorman secured a car service for us.  When we plan our next trip to NYC we will be in touch!

“Sylvie’s a lovely woman who has a number of apartments in Manhattan. The one I stayed in was in chelsea on 27th and 6th. I liked being in the center of the city. I also liked the view. :) She also has two if I'm not mistaken right by columbus circle and in the upper west side as well... Perfect for those lovely runs around the reservoir and picnics in central park. Anyhow I think no hard sell is required as I was very happy with my place. She furnishes and maintains them exquisitely. And what you see is what you get.”

“Violet House was very clean, luxurious and comfortable. There is a lot of space in the living room and in the bedroom. The bath and the kitchen have all the things you need. “We stayed at the violet house for the duration of our time in New York. We enjoyed the apartment. For a one bedroom the living space is large. The bedroom has a lot of closet space and storage. The kitchen is full-functioning and has upgraded appliances. The bathroom in the apartment is floor to ceiling marble, clean, and well taken care of. The apartment building is safe and has a 24 hour bellman. There are 2 entrances to the building, which was a really nice feature. Across the street from the apartment is a mall and grocery. The subway is also across the street. The best part about this apartment is that it is within walking distance to central park. It is in the Columbus Circle area. Laundry is available in the basement if you plan for a long stay. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the violet house. Sylvie was very attentive to our needs. She is quick to follow up on concerns/questions via email or phone. Check in/out was simple. We would definitely stay at one of Sylvie’s apartments in the future.”

I will be in contact via email to see what you have available next time. We have truly enjoyed our stay at the violet house. It has exceeded our expectations. You should pride this apartment by the great location and proximity to the subway and mall. We also liked the World Market. My husband said, "This is the way we should travel from now on." PS Barbara is great. She was very friendly and left the apartment clean, especially the bathroom.

“The Skyhouse apartment was beautifully updated and comfortable.  Beautiful views from the rooftop deck.  We especially liked the location - walking distance to the 50th Street subway station, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, and Central Park.  There are also plenty of delis and restaurants close by.  Staying in the apartment made it a real New York experience, not just a tourist stop.”

I would recommend this service to anyone, though to be honest if word to get out that this elegant, luxurious, well located hotel-alternative is a better value than any 5 star Manhattan hotel, we might not be able to stay again! The apartment was great; the location was perfect for us.

A few notes:
We bought some large coffee mugs which also make great bowls, an iron and a couple of dumbbells that we're leaving for your future guests to use. (Who knows, we might be back next year).

The green umbrella that was here broke in one of the many storms (what was up with all the rain?), but we left a little black one in the closet.

We washed all the linens before we left. That's it!

Just wanted to send you a note about how great everything went at your apartment.  We really appreciated it and hope to be able to visit again sometime.  Luann habitually cleaned up before we left so the housekeeper probably didn’t have much to do!  We had to replace 2 light bulbs and get a 9v battery for the smoke detector so wanted to let you know when it was changed and that those were the last two bulbs.  Please keep us in mind if you have any future 'holes' in your schedule, as we are only 5 hours away.
